With the summer just around the corner, Disney has announced some new food offerings that can now be enjoyed at Walt Disney World.
At the Magic Kingdom there is a range of new dishes to try at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant including the following appetizers:
- Tony’s Garlic Bread
- Toy Box Tomato Salad
New entrées include:
- Oven-roasted Shrimp Scampi
- Butcher’s Steak
- Orecchiette with Spicy Italian Sausage
- Penne with Chicken al Forno
For dessert, you can try the:
- Tiramisù Cannoli
- Italian Strawberry Shortcake
- Tony’s Spumoni Tart
- Mandarincello Custard
Over at EPCOT at Sunshine Seasons you can try the new Cheese Pizza Roll and Pepperoni Pizza Roll.
If you take a visit to Disney Springs then be sure to try Salt & Straw which is the newest ice cream spot serving a host of classic flavors including Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper as well as a unique rotating monthly selection which currently includes:
- Pistachio Rose Water with Strawberry Mochi
- Saffron & Honey with Crystalized Flower Petals
- Rhubarb Crumble with Toasted Anise
- Jasmine Milk Tea & Chocolate Almond Stracciatella
- Mathilde’s Hibiscus & Coconut Sherbet (V)
With the clasic selection and the seasonal selection it means there should always be a new flavor for you to try at Salt & Straw at Disney Springs.
Also at Disney Springs is Marketplace Snacks which is now serving Mickey and Friends Bubble Waffle Sundaes which are actually in the shape of Mickey, customers will have the choice of the following options:
- Mickey Waffle Sundae featuring vanilla soft-serve, hot fudge, cookie crumbles, and white chocolate crisp pearls
- Minnie Waffle Sundae with vanilla soft-serve, strawberry topping, sliced strawberries, and white chocolate crisp pearls
- Donald’s Waffle Sundae made with vanilla soft-serve, lemon curd, and blueberries
- Goofy’s Peanut Waffle Sundae has vanilla and chocolate soft-serve with hot fudge, peanuts, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, M&M’s Minis, and a cherry on top
- Pluto’s Waffle Sundae has chocolate soft-serve, chocolate-covered pretzels, peanut butter sauce, and milk chocolate crisp pearls

The Disney resorts are also going to be getting some extra additions with the plant based Mickey-shaped Frittata featuring tomato, spinach, onions, and “mozzarella” served with potatoes and mixed fruit and the IMPOSSIBLE Burger which serves up an IMPOSSIBLE patty topped with Carolina-style barbecued jackfruit, pickled slaw, and “cheddar” and french fries available at a number of locations until June 7.
If you are heading to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa then you will have the pick of the following offerings, some new and some returning, to sample over the summer months:
- The Reuben accompanied by coleslaw and steak fries
- Caramelized Onion Soup Gratin
- Chicken and Waffles with hand-breaded chicken breast and malted waffle with a sriracha-honey drizzle
- Café Meatloaf is a house-made turkey meatloaf with smashed red bliss potatoes, broccolini, and mushroom gravy
- Shrimp and Grits feature jumbo shrimp with chorizo and fennel perfectly paired with a deliciously creamy, mascarpone cheese grits
Also at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa you can enjoy a range of desserts at the Gasparilla Island Grill including:
- The Cheshire Cat Wildberry Mousse – swirls of wildberry mousse, berry compote, and cake crumbles topped with a white chocolate Cheshire Cat
- Orange Bird Cake Pop – yellow cake pop swirled with citrus-scented buttercream
- Brownie Crispy Cone – ice cream cone filled with caramel-swirled brownie topped with a crisped rice treat, white chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles
Last but by no means least is the Key Lime Swirl at Good’s Food to Go at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The Key Lime Swirl is described as a DOLE Whip lime and vanilla soft-serve swirl topped with graham cracker crumbs.
