UPDATE August 23 – Disney has now released the video of Grammy Award-winning Brandy, performing “Starting Now” in front of Sleepng Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. “Starting Now” is the official theme song of World Princess Week which aims to “highlights the impact of Disney Princesses and the courage and kindness they inspire in fans all around the world.”

For anyone wanting to soak up more Disney Princess magic then “Cinderella: The Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20” is being aired on ABC tonight, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET. This will then be able to be streamed on Hulu on Wednesday August 24. Following the reunion there will be a presentation of the original film, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, which can also be streamed on Disney+. Happy World Princess Week everyone.
August 20 – Yes, you read it correctly, next week (August 21 -27) sees the return of World Princess Week at Disney parks around the globe. World Princess Week “highlights the impact of Disney Princesses and the courage and kindness they inspire in fans all around the world.”
This year we see the debut of Kumandran warrior Raya from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’. Grammy Award-winning Brandy recorded “Starting Now” which is the official theme song for World Princess Week in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. This will be released on Monday August 22.
Here are some of the highlights to look out for at Disney parks to celebrate World Princess Week:
- Princess Movie Screens At Movie Under The Stars (select Walt Disney World resort hotels)
- Princess-themed DJ dance parties at Disney Springs (Aug 21 and 27)
- Tiana and Naveen-inspired paper crown giveaway at American Adventure pavilion at EPCOT.
- Princess themed food and beverages across the resorts
- Magic Key holders can get photo opportunity at Stage 17 at Disney California Adventure park
- See Disney Artist Stacia Martin draw Disney Princesses (WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney District on Aug. 21 from 12-4 p.m)
- Royal Promenade cavalcade of princesses and queens including song ‘Starting Now’ at Disneyland Paris.

- Lost Slipper dessert (Cinderella’s Royal Table, Walt Disney World)
- Snow White Cone, including Dole Whip (Friar’s Nook, Walt Disney World)

- Pocahontas Mousse (Creature Comforts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
- Perfectly Princess Cupcake (Gasparilla Island Grill, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa)
