With a whole host of information coming out of the D23 Expo at the weekend, further details have now been posted to social media regarding the future Avengers Campus attraction coming to Disney California Adventure.
Walt Disney Imagineer, Brent Strong has just released a video on Instagram which reveals “the world-jumping vehicle in development for the future Avengers Campus attraction at Disney California Adventure”.
This new addition to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is described as being an epic attraction which is said to “include physical worlds which will be brought to life with a blend of large-scale built environments and immersive media.”
The design of the newly revealed world-jumping vehicle will “combine elements of Tony Stark’s suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology to create a vehicle that can transport heroes to remote worlds in a matter of moments. It will combine portal technology and flight capabilities to maneuver through the skies, meaning heroes can deploy anywhere they’re needed.”
The attraction is expected to include all the Avengers characters in a new multi-world mission spanning the universe including realities on planet Earth and beyond.
Currently, Disney has not given any timeline for when this new attraction will debut at Disney California Adventure. We expect it will be a few years before we see it come to fruition.
When it opens, it will be the third attraction at Avengers Campus following the E-ticket, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! which opened in May 2017 replacing the iconic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This was followed by the opening of WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure in 2021 which replaced It’s Tough to Be a Bug!.
