Wendy’s, Domino’s, UPS Store and More Added to Walt Disney World’s Flamingo Crossings

Just outside the gates of Walt Disney World the Flamingo Crossings hotel, housing, and retail center continues to develop. Earlier this year we learned that Walt Disney World was building new CP housing alongside the first two hotels by Marriott at Flamingo Crossing (which opened in 2016) and plans were coming together to bring a Walgreens and Target to this location. And now it looks like even more development is on the way for Flamingo Crossings.

According to the Orlando Business Journal, there are a lot of new tenants coming to this location, including a UPS store, Wendy’s, Domino’s, Ellie Lou’s Brews & BBQ, Firehouse Subs, Pieology Pizzeria, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, PDQ, Five Guys, Ben & Jerry’s and Dunkin’.

In case you need a refresher, Walt Disney World’s Flamingo Crossings development project is located just off property near the Western Way gateway, near Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

Right now, the only operating businesses are the two Marriott hotels which opened in 2016, but that is expected to change in the near future as Disney has confirmed they will be retaining ownership of this development  and are imagining it as a companion to Disney Springs with a focus on value-based dining and shopping options.

Though construction has been continuing through 2020 even despite local shutdowns earlier this year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we still don’t have a grand opening target for the shopping and dining area of Flamingo Crossings just yet, but hopefully we’ll learn more in the near future.
