As capacity caps increase and we head closer to the Summer season Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and Six Flags are all hiring for a range of jobs. This news may come as quite a surprise to many as over the last year we have heard about the unfortunate laying off of a large number of Disney cast members and Universal team members due to COVID-19 and the financial climate.
Walt Disney World have part time positions advertised on the Disney Careers website for Attractions, Custodial, Merchandise and Quick Service Food. It states that those that apply require full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Pay rates start at $14 and may vary depending on the role offered.
Universal Orlando Resort has a list of all the current positions available on their jobs page. These include Team Member Shuttle Driver, Attraction Attendants, Technicians, Ride Mechanics, Restaurant staff, Managers and many more.
Six Flags are hiring across their theme parks for a range of positions including rides, food and beverages, seasonal maintenance, aquatics, security and many more. For more information visit Six Flags Jobs Page and select the park you are interested in working at from the drop down box.
According to an article in the Los Angeles Daily News Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor spokesman Jerry Certonio said they are looking to hire approximately 2000 workers.
As theme parks across the World begin increasing capacity in preparation for the Summer season and as they are understandably seeing a large upturn in guest enthusiasm for visiting the parks now vaccination programs are well underway and COVID-19 appear to be declining Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and Six Flags appear to be trying to fill any vacant positions as quickly as they can.
