After being closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that it will be reopening on April 16, 2021! And when guests are able to visit this park again, they’ll be able to experience both The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash attraction (which was set to debut the week after the park initially closed) as well as an updated Jurassic World ride which now features a new finale where the Indominus rex battles the Tyrannosaurus rex,
Guests wanting to visit will be able to purchase park tickets online starting April 8. Just like with Disneyland Resort (which is opening its theme parks later next month on April 30), only California residents will be allowed in the park. There will be a preview day for Universal Annual Passholders on April 15 and additional bonus days which can be reserved online starting April 5.
In accordance with California’s health and safety measures, Universal Studios Hollywood will open under the following capacity caps for heme parks in the state based on COVID-19 spread and hospitalizations in LA County:
- 15% capacity iin the Red Tier
- 25% in the Orange Tier
- 35% in the Yellow Tier
In addition, face masks will be required and guests will be asked to keep social distance in queues and other common areas of the theme parks. Are you excited for the reopening of Universal Studios Hollywood?
