At the end of October, Universal published it’s revenue for the recent quarter and although unexpectedly revenue was down 80% compared to the same quarter last year, there was some welcome news as it was reported that Universal Theme Park Attendance Is Slowly Growing, Parks Expected to “Break Even” in 2021.
Universal Orlando Resort has now announced all the details of their Christmas offerings for 2020. The holiday events kick off on November 14 and will officially end on January 3. It states on their official website that “Prices, times, dates, entertainment, event and/or experience details are subject to changes and/or cancellation without notice”, so be sure to check out the calendar before booking.
Christmas at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Christmas sparkle and festive decor is coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in both Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. In Diagon Alley guests can experience the Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees show and over at Hogsmeade, The Frog Choir will perform at various times throughout the day. No visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter would be complete without special Holiday merchandise and Butterbeer.
Christmas isn’t just coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, there are lots of other festivities taking place at Universal Orlando Resort this holiday season including:
- NEW Holiday Experience with Macy’s Balloons – a walk-through experience at Universal Studios where guests can see giant Macy’s Balloons and colorful Christmas floats. A perfect photo opportunity and a chance to see Santa Claus.
- NEW Character Celebration – Characters from Minions, Shrek and Madagascar will make appearances throughout the day at Universal Studios.
- The Grinch & The Whos – celebrate Grinchmas in Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventures with appearances throughout the day.
- Holiday Tree Hunt – Guests can buy a Holiday Tree Hunt brochure and go on a scavenger hunt around Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and CityWalk. If you are successful you can collect your very own holiday ornament. Theme Park admission required.
- NEW Holiday Treat Trail – if you are truly in the holiday spirit and choose to purchase five designated treats from within Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and CityWalk you will receive a sixth one free. Theme Park admission required.
- Holiday Tribute Store – located in Universal Studios with seasonal merchandise and food treats.
- Seasonal Sweets and Treats – available within Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and CityWalk including Gingerbread Shake, pumpkin crepes and hot Butterbeer.
- Seasonal Merchandise – available within Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and CityWalk including Christmas ornaments, hats, scarves, backpacks and more.
- Photo Opportunities – decorated spots throughout the Resort including the Christmas Tree in New York.
