A Unique Dining Location Is Finally Reopening At Walt Disney World

We now have confirmation that the long shuttered, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall will finally be reopening its doors on Friday, November 4. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is located in the Norway pavilion in the World Showcase at EPCOT. This restaurant was last open prior to COVID-19 theme park shut downs in March 2020 so this is certainly exciting news for Disney fans.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall offers a unique dining experience where guests can “join Disney Princesses for Storybook Dining inside a medieval castle with soaring archways and cathedral ceilings.”

When Akershus Royal Banquet Hall reopens it will offer a family-style dining experience where guests can enjoy interacting and taking photos with their favorite Disney princesses.

There is range of food on offer including the traditional KjØttkaker featuring Norwegian meatballs or the Kylling og Melboller (Norwegian take on chicken and dumplings). If you fancy something less Norwegian and more classic American then you can sample the Macaroni & Cheese or Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Grilled Salmon.
