Typhoon Lagoon Set to Reopen for the First Time Since March 2020

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park at Walt Disney World is confirmed to be reopening next week on January 2, 2022. This will be the first time the park has reopened since the initial COVID-19 shutdown in March 2020.

When it reopens Typhoon Lagoon will have a brand new dessert menu at Snack Shack that will include two Moana-inspired DOLE Whip character cones, a build-your-own dessert with mango, lime, raspberry or pineapple DOLE Whip and even tequila, coconut rum or dark rum mix-ins for adults. The Snack Shack at Typhoon Tilly’s will also serve the Habanero Lime Galley Shack Swirl, a new signature cocktail balancing spicy habanero, sweet mango and tangy lime flavors.

The water park will also once again feature Learn to Surf and Private Surf add-ons. Bookings for these returning experiences are available now, and you can learn more at the official Walt Disney World website here

Blizzard Beach will be having its final day of operation on January 1, 2022 before its annual refurbishment begins. This water park will reopen in Spring 2022.
