Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Set to Reopen This Weekend

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been closed for over a full yearclosing right before the parks shutdown in March 2020 and never reopening. However, while many fans were worried that this attraction might never reopen, we have good news, as it looks like this long-running refurbishment is finally coming to a close!

Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World, confirmed via Instagram post that the PeopleMover is finally ready to begin welcoming guests again and will be reopening “later this weekend.” adding that that the ride will soon be ready to “delight a new generation.”

Of course the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover isn’t the only attraction at the Magic Kingdom that has been under refurbishment  recently as the Hall of Presidents and many shopping locations at the Magic Kingdom are currently closed for refurbishment, and the Jungle Cruise is set to close in the near future for a reimagining that should debut before the end of the year. Are you excited that this Magic Kingdom classic is finally returning to operation, just in time for the summer season?
