Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge hasn’t exactly been the hit at Disneyland that many thought it would be, and with bookings so far on the soft side at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, many have been wondering if guests are not interested in visiting this land due to the fact that it opened without its signiture attraction: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. However, after months of speculation, Disney has finally confirmed when this attraction will open, just just at Disneyland, but also at Walt Disney World as well!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get this attraction in late 2019
Though Disneyland’s version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was open first, it looks like Walt DIsney World’s version will be the first to be complete, as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the end of the year, on December 5, 2019, just in time for the busy holiday season!
Disneyland to open Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in early 2020
Over on the west coast, fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer to experience this attraction, as Disney has confirmed that the Disneyland version of this attraction will be open on January 17, 2020, just over a month after the Walt Disney World version opens.
Though we have been waiting a long time for more information about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, it looks like fans are going to have to wait just a few more months to experiece this attraction and get the “full” Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experience. Right now no information has been released about if FastPass+ will be offered for this experience (it is not offered for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at the moment, but of course that could change by the time winter rolls around), but hopefully we’ll hear more soon about some specifics for the opening of this highly-anticipated new attraction at the upcoming D23 Expo next month in Anaheim California!
