UK newspaper The Sun is repeating last year’s offer of 2 free adult tickets to Alton Towers.
As with last year, the tickets must be used on a specific day and there is no guarantee of getting a ticket for a particular date. Instead, applicants must list 5 date bands in order of preference (which span most of the park’s season between March 30 and November 3, 2011). Tickets are then allocated on a first come, first served basis.
To qualify, readers need to collect 9 differently numbered tokens. One token will be printed in the newspaper every day between Saturday, March 5 and Friday, March 18 (a total of 14 tokens). You must then fill in the application form which will be in The Sun on Weds Mar 9, 2011 and after this date via this Alton Towers using the application form link. All applications must be received by post by Thursday March 24, 2011.
The Sun newspapers costs 30p on weekdays and 60p on Saturdays and the New of the World costs £1. The tickets cost £39.60 each on the gate, so the potential saving is large.
For those who miss out, or get tickets for a date that is not suitable, there are plenty of other ways of saving money on Alton Towers tickets (using Tesco Clubcard points, for instance).
Full details and conditions for the offer can be found on The Sun’s website.
