2020 has been a disappointing year for theme parks across the world. Six Flags Great America has unfortunately been one of the many theme parks that hasn’t been able to reopen since the park closures due to COVID-19. There is good news for theme park fans of Six Flags Great America as they have made the decision to host the popular Holiday in the Park Lights for 2020.
This event will be a modified offering from what guests have been used to in the previous two seasons. It will run on select dates starting November 27 – December 27, 2020. From the current calendar it appears this event will operate 4:00pm – 9:00pm on the following dates:
- Friday November 27th
- Saturday November 28th
- Sunday November 29th
- Saturday December 5th
- Sunday December 6th
- Saturday December 12th
- Sunday December 13th
- Saturday December 19th
- Sunday December 20th
- Monday December 21st
- Tuesday December 22nd
- Wednesday December 23rd
- Saturday December 26th
- Sunday December 27th
Although the parks rides will not be open, the Holiday in the Park event for 2020 will feature a walk-through with over 2.5 million lights, light displays throughout the park, themed entertainment, photo-ops and a range of seasonal treats to try.
More details are promised soon on this event. Advance reservations must be made by all guests through their official website. Currently, Holiday in the Park tickets are being offered for $19.99.
