Fright Fest began on September 25 at Six Flags America and is due to run on select nights until October 31. Some guests engaged in fighting during the evening’s event over the weekend in the park. The fight then continued in the parking lot almost turning into a riot.
Due to this unruly and dangerous behavior, Six Flags America has made the decision to close the park at 9 pm for all of the remaining Fright Fest nights to try to avoid further fights. This is a huge blow for those guests wanting to make the most of the Halloween event. In addition to the reduced 9 pm closing time, the park has also announced new Fright Fest Ghoul Rules on its official website, stating:
- No Re-Entry After 6:00 pm
- No Park Entry After 7:00 pm
- No Costumes for Guest Over the Age of 12
It begs the question of whether next year Six Flags America will have to put in place some extra terms and conditions for young people under a certain age, perhaps stating they must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event.
Fright Fest is a much-loved event at Six Flags America which this year includes five Haunt mazes including; Reaper Railways: The Show Must Go On, The Haunting of Hall Manor, Total Damnation, Twisted Fairy Tales, and Voodoo Curse. Guests also have the opportunity to ride their favorite attractions in the dark and enjoy a range of entertainment and shows.
Fright Passes for Fright Fest start from $19.99 but a valid park admission ticket must also be bought. For further details and to purchase tickets visit the Six Flags America official site.
