Though SeaWorld Orlando has been reopen over a month since its three month closure due to COVID-19, SeaWorld San Diego has remained closed since March due to the government guidelines in the state of California.
However, SeaWorld San Diego has announced that it will be hosting Zoo Days: Bayside BBQ & Brews Event on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (as well as Labor Day, Monday September 7) 11am – 7pm starting August 28 – September 27, 2020. Please note, this does not mean that the whole theme park will be open.
All guests, including Pass Members and Fun Card Holders require a ticket-based reservation to attend SeaWorld Orlando during the Zoo Days: Bayside BBQ & Brews Event. To make ticket reservations, click here.
Your ticket gives you access to 40 acres of SeaWorld Orlando’s outdoor park grounds and your Zoo Days: BBQ & Brews Tasting Lanyard entitles you to up to six food or drink items of your choice as well as the following experiences can be enjoyed:
- Roam the park’s beautiful outdoor grounds
- Access to Open-air Animal Exhibits such as Sea Lion Point, Otter Outlook, Dolphin Point and Explorer’s Reef Touch Pools
- Animal Presentations such as Dolphin, Sea Lion and the educational Orca Encounter, with physically distant seating
- Sesame Street® Character Meet-and-Greets – Wave hello and take photos with your favorite furry friends!
- Savor a limited-time food and beverage experience which includes new BBQ and beer-infused menus as well as San Diego’s best selection of craft brews
- A Bayside BBQ & Brews Tasting Lanyard valid for chef-created BBQ, craft and domestic beer, wine, cocktails or non-alcoholic beverages of your choice (up to 6 selections per lanyard).
It states on SeaWorld Orlando’s official website that BBQ food choices include speciality beer-infused BBQ Brisket Sliders, Shrimp Tacos, Grilled Fish Tacos Al Pastor, Impossible Burgers, German Bratwurst and more. Enjoy a variety of local craft brews from Stone Brewing Co., Ballast Point Brewing Company, AleSmith Brewing Company, Mike Hess Brewing, Thorn Street Brewing Co. and Coronado Brewing Company. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are included with your Tasting Lanyard.
There still hasn’t been an official announcement as to when SeaWorld San Diego will be able to fully reopen its theme park gates. It has now been confirmed that their new ride for 2020 Emperor has been postponed until 2021.
