    SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration

SeaWorld likes to call it ”Where the season meets the sea”. What it means is that you can enjoy amazing shows and a park that has gotten a real Holidays transformation. You can enjoy SeaWorld’s Shamu family during the night-time show Shamu Christmas Miracles, enjoy a Winter Wonderland ice skating spectacle on an outdoor stage of ice (remember, it is well over 20C/70F in Florida). And sea lions, otters, a comical elf, and a wintery walrus or two, search for Santa to determine if they’re on the naughty or nice list in Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas.

Just like previous years the Wild Arctic attraction is transformed into The Polar Express Experience. You embark on a wondrous journey to the North Pole aboard The Polar Express. You can finish of your day with the Sea of Trees, which includes more than 100 massive trees and Holiday Reflections where Fireworks, the sea of trees and Fountain interact for an amazing finale.

New this year at SeaWorld Orlando is Elmo’s Christmas Wish. A fun musical celebration with Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster as they work together to help Elmo find his Christmas wish.

    Ihu’s Breakaway falls – Aquatica Orlando’s new 2014 attraction

All three Aquatica parks will be getting a new attraction in 2014. We’ve learned that the name of the Aquatica Orlando ride will be Ihu’s Breakaway falls. We also know that the ride will include a droptower where several people will drop simultaneous. Aquatica announced that the new attraction will be 105’ / 32M high and they tell us it’ll be the tallest water thrill ride of its type at any waterpark in Orlando.

TIP: New Year’s Eve at SeaWorld Orlando

As every year we will be celebrating New Year’s Eve at SeaWorld Orlando. It’s a spectacular musical celebration and bold fireworks display. Make sure to be on time as Bayside Stadium fills to capacity pretty quickly. If you are too late for a seat at the stadium; there are plenty of great spots around the lake to celebrate the New Year.

One Ocean, SeaWorld Orlando’s popular killer whale show, will be out of action from early January 2014 until April 7.

“While our signature killer whale show, One Ocean and Dine With Shamu won’t be available during that time, our guests and fans will see all-new, above and underwater interactions and sessions with killer whales at our new experience called Shamu Up Close,” said spokesperson Susan Flower.

“Throughout each day, guests can experience enhanced presentations designed to give them new and different glimpses into training techniques and the amazing relationships our trainers have with the killer whales. It’s an opportunity to get even closer to SeaWorld’s killer whales and learn more about these unique animals.”

    What’s next in 2014?

2014 SeaWorld will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a “Sea of Surprises”. Starting 21st of March SeaWorld is throwing an 18 month long celebration with new shows, more animal encounters and a Surprise Squad delivering prizes and surprises throughout the park. SeaWorld San Diego is getting a complete new front gate and the parks may have some additional surprises up their sleeve.

On top of that in 2014 SeaWorld will host many of its annual events like Bands, Brew and BBQ and Viva La Musica. We’ll give you all the details in our next update.
