Reimagined Jungle Cruise Will Open First at Disneyland, With Work Continuing at Walt Disney World

It has been announced that Disney’s reimagined Jungle Cruise attraction will debut in just a few weeks on July 16, 2021 at Disneyland Resort, where the attraction has been closed since reopening while work continues behind the scenes on updating this ride. In addition, it was announced that the Magic Kingdom version of this attraction will debut its refreshed look later this summer, but no target date was given.

Interestingly, though the west coast version of the Jungle Cruise has stayed closed during its transformation, it looks like the Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom will continue to stay open while new scenes are added and updated. You can check out a new video below with some of the new jokes from this updated attraction:

As was announced earlier this year the Jungle Cruise’s “new adventure” will stay true to the experience that guests know and love, but with more humor, wildlife and “skipper heart”. You can read more about what to expect from this updated version of the Jungle Cruise here

Disney has also released new information about the updated story and characters in the My Disney Experience app, where guests can check out concept art for the reimagined attraction and explore connections to the broader Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) which has been featured in several Disney Parks attractions across the globe.
