The COVID-19 closures of 2020 stalled many Disney projects and the ambitious Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge has never got back on track.
We heard in June 2020 that Disney had reportedly puts Reflections- A Disney Lakeside Lodge on hold indefinitely and there hasn’t been much news on this project over the last couple of years.
An aerial view of the proposed site for Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge has now appeared on Twitter from Bioreconstruct and it seems the area remains abandoned with no sign of construction currently going on. The tweet can be seen embedded below.

Back in 2018, it was confirmed that Disney was bulldozing the remains of River Country and building a new hotel around Bay Lake that would be named Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.
Recently, rumors have surfaced that the project has been cancelled completely but Disney has still not officially confirmed or denied this.
Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge resort was announced as a deluxe-level property that was to be themed around Walt Disney’s love of the natural world. When completed, this new hotel would include more than 900 rooms as well as Disney Vacation Club villas spread across a variety of unique accommodation types.
In addition to its luxury rooms and villas, Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge was designed to feature a dual-level fireworks viewing lounge and a high end table service restaurant with scenic views of Bay Lake, which reportedly had a Princess and the Frog theme.
We still await official confirmation about the fate of Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge but currently it certainly does look hopeful for this ambitious project.
