UPDATE July 16 – It has been over two years since the Red Car Trolley traveling down Buesta Vista Street and through Hollywood Land. It has now been officially announced that the Red Car Trolley will return to Disneyland Park tomorrow (July 17).
May 13 – For many Disney fans, the red car trolley was a favorite thing to do when visiting Disneyland. This attraction hasn’t reopened since the park closures due to COVID-19 in 2020. However, there is great news this week as it has been confirmed that the red car trolley will return this summer.

With news that the red car trolley will return, fans asked the question, “Will the Red Car News Boys return with the attraction?” Unfortunately this doesn’t look likely as reported by the OCRegister. The show, featuring Mickey Mouse and the Red Car News Boys was closed in July 2019.
The Red Car Trolley runs every 12 minutes and gives guests a scenic ride along Buesta Vista Street and through Hollywood Land. Guests can hop aboard at:
- Buena Vista Street near the Disney California Adventure Park Main Entrance
- Carthay Circle across from Carthay Circle Restaurant
- Hollywood Boulevard near the Disney Animation building
- Sunset Boulevard past the Hyperion Theater
