It was announced yesterday by the Walt Disney Travel Company that they are pausing the private ground transportation add on option for all new bookings effective immediately.
This is the statement which was sent to travel agents:
“New bookings are currently unavailable for private ground transportation to and from Walt Disney World Resort and other surrounding areas. This Walt Disney Travel Company package add-on will be unavailable until further notice.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, some existing private ground transportation reservations may be impacted. Affected Guests and Travel Agents will receive a phone call if their reservation has been impacted.”
We are not exactly sure the reason for this sudden pausing of private ground transportation which may also affect existing bookings as can be seen by the statement above. We know this will come as a disappointment to some guests who use this add on when booking their vacation through the Walt Disney Travel Company.
Those guests affected are being advised to use rideshare schemes such as Uber or book a taxi although they certainly won’t have the same Disney feel to kick off your vacation as the Minnie Van obviously has.
