We learnt back in July 2021 that Disneyland Paris would officially move to the new paid for, Disney Premier Access, FastPass service in August 2021. It has now been announced that prices are to increase for each attraction making this already costly system even more expensive.
Unlike Genie+ Lightning Lanes which is now used at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Disney Premier Access at Disneyland Paris is only available for certain attractions and each has an individual price to pay per person to gain access to the FastPass lane. This is very similar to the Individual Lightning Lane service at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
We now know that the prices have changed as can be seen below:
- Autopia: €7 to €9 per Guest
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast: €11 to €12 per Guest
- Crush’s Coaster: €14 to €18 per Guest
- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain: €16 to €18 per Guest
- Star Tours: The Adventure Continues: €7 to €9 per Guest
- Peter Pan’s Flight: €14 per Guest
- Big Thunder Mountain: €16 to €18 per Guest
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: €14 per Guest
- Ratatouille: The Adventure: €14 per Guest
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril: €7 to €9 per Guest
- Orbitron: €7 to €9 per Guest
- Phantom Manor: €7 to €9 per Guest

As you can see, majority of the attractions have had a €2 increase which although doesn’t seem a huge amount, will soon add up over all attractions and especially when paying for a whole family.
The big question now is, is this price hike leading the way for an increase in the current $15 price per person for the Genie+ Lightning Lane service and price increases for the Individual Lightning Lane service at Walt Disney World?
It is certainly clear at the moment that Disney needs to look closely at the Genie+ Lightning Lane service and changes need to be made. We are certainly guessing that raising prices will be top on Disney’s list so we guess it is just a matter of time before a price increase is announced.
If the price was increased and less people then purchased it, this could have a positive impact on standby wait times in the parks. On the other hand, the price may increase and people just continue to pay it meaning it would just cost people more with no benefit at all to guests in the parks.
