We will be taking a look around the Walt Disney World theme parks including some Halloween décor, a Seven Dwarfs Mine Train update and more.
It was a beautiful morning on Sunday October 20, 2013 and Halloween is just around the corner. Fall decorations at the Magic Kingdom have been on display since late August.
You can find fall accents throughout Main Street.
Including plenty of leafy garlands.
Mickey pumpkin heads show up on every possible pole.
It’s not so very scary.
There is also plenty of orange and yellow bunting for you bunting enthusiasts.
Peter Pan’s Flight is currently under refurbishment until November 14.
The seating area in front of Pinocchio’s Village Haus is under refurbishment, but the restaurant is still open.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is now completely covered in the yellow mesh that is the underlying structure for the rockwork.
You can see the barrier that will be the outer edge of the Mine Train. It looks like guests will be able to get very close to the mine cars as they swing by in some spots.
I was fortunate enough to be on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover when Space Mountain was down and had its lights on. The pictures are a little blurry, but I thought it is worth sharing.
I rode Space Mountain when it reopened after I got off the TTA PeopleMover and kept my hands very close to my body. I may have even ducted at some points.
Heading out of the Magic Kingdom, the new bus stops look nearly completed. There is a new sign that reveals that there will be 36 bus stops once construction is completed. The extra stops are for the buses that currently are only available at the Transportation and Ticket Center. It seems like a very long walk to the entrance if you are unfortunate enough to be dropped off at the very end.
At Epcot, Spice Road Table is coming along nicely. Part of the building has been revealed and is themed exactly like the Morocco Pavilion.
One final stop at Animal Kingdom shows the new Festival of the Lion King Theater is well under way for its 2014 opening. You can get a better look during the lift on Expedition Everest, but there was no time to snap a photo. It is taking on a very similar shape to the current theater rumored to close in January of 2014.
