A new theme park based on the world of popular preschool character Peppa Pig has been announced and will open in Florida next year. The park will be operated by Merlin and will be part of the LEGOLAND Florida resort in Winter Haven, but it will be its own park, requiring separate admission. To visit this new park, guests can purchase individual tickets, annual passes or combo passes that include LEGOLAND Florida admission.
The park will be aimed at young children and will feature rides, live shows, character interactions, themed play areas and water-play areas. Specific attraction details are expected to be announced later this year in anticipation of a 2022 debut. Work has already begun on the new theme park, and is visible from the LEGOLAND Florida parking lot.
Though this will be the world’s first theme park based on Peppa Pig, a themed land around this character can be found at Paulton’s Park in the UK and an indoor “Peppa Pig World of Play” attraction can be found in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Speaking with Bloloop, Mark Fisher, chief development officer at Merlin Group, said: “Working with our partners at Hasbro, we are excited to be taking the next step in creating this fully immersive theme park, which will bring to life even more of the sights, sounds and experiences that family audiences know and love so much from Peppa’s world.”
