It has just been announced that starting April 18, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the parks after 2:00PM without having to have a Parks Reservation for that day.
Now, just to clarify, blockout dates will continue to apply and on Saturdays and Sundays at the Magic Kingdom, it will continue to work the same way as it does now. Annual Passholders can still visit Magic Kingdom on a Saturday or Sunday after 2pm if you have a park reservation (and have entered) a different park on that day.

So, to be clear, Annual Passholders will NOT be able to visit the Magic Kingdom after 2:00PM on a Saturday or Sunday without a valid Park Reservation for another park having actually entered that park on that day.
Although this is positive news for current Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, we unfortunately still don’t have any further information as to when new Walt Disney World Annual Passes will come back on sale. We will update you when Disney makes an announcement on this.
