New Walt Disney World Discounts And Deals for 2019

2019 is going to be a big one at Walt Disney World, with at least a dozen new attractions opening over the next 12 months, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this fall. And though we’re very excited for the year ahead, in an attempt to ward off any drops in attendance early in the year Disney has announced some new discounts and deals for 2019 that guests can now take advantage of!

If you are thinking about going to a Disney park in the near future (and especially if you are planning to stay on-property), here are some easy ways you can save some money that you should definitely know about!

1. Military Salute discount for 2019 announced

Active-duty or retired members of the U.S. military can now take advantage of the 2019 Military Salute discount at Walt Disney World, which is available now through December 19th, 2019. Unlike in years past, this discount is not date-specific, which is welcome news for those hoping to check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge later this year. There are also no blockout period for this year’s Military Salute tickets either. Of course the catch here is that Military Members can only choose between a four or five day ticket, as smaller denominations are not available. However, with the deep discounts, in many cases the longer ticket lengths are worth it, even if service members can’t use them to their full amount. Here’s the savings breakdown:

  • Four-Day Park Hopper: $241 per person (for comparison, regular price for a four day park hopper is between $448 to $512)
  • Five-Day Park Hopper: $257 (Again, regular price varies from $465 to $530)

Members of the military who purchase these tickets can also upgrade to Park Hopper Plus, which includes admission to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach for $50 per ticket.

2. Annual Passholder discount available for Disney After Hours in 2019

Last year it was announced that Disney After Hours was expanding to 3 theme parks (only Epcot is left out ) and now it has been confirmed that Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can continue to enjoy their $30 per ticket discount at every Disney After Hours event. Here are all of the event dates broken down by park:

Magic Kingdom: January 7, 17, 24 & 28, February 7, 14, & 28, and March 7

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: January 5, 12 and 19, February 2, 9 and 16, March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and April 6 and 13.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: January 8, 16, 22 and 31, February 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 26, March 5, 20 and 27, and April 3.

3. New 4-Park Magic Ticket available for purchase later this month

Announced late last year, Disney will begin selling a new, deeply discounted ticket four-day, 4-Park Magic Value Ticket for $85 per day (plus tax) for a total price of $340 (plus tax) starting on January 18th. The 4-Park Magic Tickets include one day of admission to Magic Kingdom Park, one day of admission to Epcot, one day of admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and one day of admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, for a total of four admissions over four separate days.

However, what sets this new value ticket apart from other 4-park, 4-day ticket options is that the price will vary by season. Here’s the season and price breakdown:

4-Park Magic Value Ticket: Valid for admission Jan. 18-March 1, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use, or by March 1, 2019, whichever comes first

    • Adult: $85 per day, plus tax ($340 total, plus tax)
    • Child: $80 per day, plus tax ($320 total, plus tax)

4-Park Magic Select Ticket: Valid for admission March 2-March 14; March 27-April 9; April 27-May 27; and Aug. 19-Sept. 30, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use, or by Sept. 30, 2019, whichever comes first

    • Adult: $89 per day, plus tax ($356 total, plus tax)
    • Child: $84 per day, plus tax ($336 total, plus tax)

4-Park Magic Summer Ticket: Valid for admission May 28-Aug. 18, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use or by Sept. 30, 2019, whichever comes first

    • Adult: $95 per day, plus tax ($380 total, plus tax)
    • Child: $90 per day, plus tax ($360 total, plus tax)
Of course these tickets come from several restrictions aside from the date (which you can see here), the most notable of which is the fact that these tickets cannot be upgraded with the park-hopper option. As you might notice, there is no special ticket offer for guests looking to visit in late 2019, as that is when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is due to open.
