The Disney After Hours experience, even though it got off to a slow start, has been super popular since Disney added a “villains” twist earlier this year. And now it has been confirmed that the plussed up version of this upcharge event will be getting some extra villany in 2020!
Introducing the Villains Cursed Caravan
Next year, Villains After Hours will be adding the Villains’ Cursed Caravan, which will be headed by Maleficent the dragon creeping slowly through the park followed by Gaston, Oogie Boogie, Cruella DeVil, Captain Hook and more. These characters will be roaming along a parade route through the evening, but will not be stopping for photos or autographs. Instead think of this new offering as a mini-parade of sorts (and the closest thing we’ve seen to a nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom in years).
Justifying the increased cost
As you might recall, it was previously announced that Disney is going to be charging guests extra for this event in 2020, with advance purchase price of $145 (up from $139), and same day price of $155 (up from $144). Pricing for Passholders and DVC Members is $115. And though we don’t know what sales look like, Disney’s announcement of this new addition may have been a way to try and boost sales early for guests who are on the fence about paying more for this event in 2020
