For many people, TikTok is the place to be and it appears that there is a new trend in town at Walt Disney World. First, earlier this year, there was the trend of trying to get dress coded to get a free shirt which Disney put their foot down on and now…
Rather than violating the dress code which states “Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.”, TikTok users are now trying to get into the Walt Disney World parks wearing costumes.

TikTok user, bella_billnye posted a video saying “Let’s see if I can get into EPCOT like this?” The video already has over 10,000 views. It seems as if this is the latest TikTok trend when it comes to violating the Walt Disney World dress code.
Most Walt Disney World guests know that:
“Costumes and costume masks, which may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older.
Exceptions:
Specific Halloween and Christmas events.
Some outfits inspired by Star Wars”
Now, this TikTok user appeared very proud of herself for getting past security and into the park dressed as Marvel’s Valkyrie and we are expecting many more videos to be posted to TikTok from similar guests trying to get in on this new trend.
Will it take off? I don’t see that it will. Disney appears to be clued into the latest trends and we are sure they will now be making sure that security and Cast Members are even more vigilant when it comes to checking on costumes when guests are entering the Walt Disney World parks.
Interestingly, there is the section in the dress code which states that some Star Wars themed costumes are allowed. In the two photos below you can clearly see what is and what isn’t permitted.
In the instance above, could it have fallen into the okay to wear category? However, it’s not Star Wars and not homemade but the line could appear somewhat blurry to Cast Members and some guests. We are sure if Disney feels it needs to it will amend the dress code accordingly.
So, we guess only time will tell whether this new trend of getting into Walt Disney World wearing a costume will take off. Let us know your thoughts by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.
