It is always exciting news when we hear of a new indoor amusement park opening and according to this report from Creative Loafing Tampa, Elev8Fun is opening a second location in Tampa in May.
This new indoor location is currently under construction and is located in the former Sears building at Citrus Park Town Center. It is a 125,000 square-foot, two-storey indoor amusement park which will be home to a bowling alley with 12 full size lanes as well as duck-pin, a huge arcade, laser tag, go-karting, a ropes course, 18 hole glow-in-the-dark mini golf and even axe throwing.
It will offer a Triotech XD Dark Ride which is unique to this new location with each of the eight riders having a gaming gun to experience immersive shooting games with a range of themes including robots, aliens, werewolves. You can see what guests will experience from the video embedded below.
There will also be a free-roam Virtual Reality experience area. There will be a bar and grill including 31 local beers on tap.
The pricing is very similar to the existing location which opened at Seminole Towne Center in Sanford back in 2021. Admission will be free with games and attractions being charged at different rates. Bundles are available and pricing can be seen here.
Back in November, Elev8 Fun’s Director of Operations Keith Baldwin, said that the plan will be to turn the former loading dock near to this new location into a beer garden.
According to the website, Elev8 Fun will be opening a third location in Treasure Coast Mall at Jensen Beach. More details are expected soon regarding this.
