For many Disney fans, excitement for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is dampened by the sad closing of the iconic Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. For others though, there is enthusiasm and optimism in the air as further details are revealed this week about this upcoming attraction.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will create the next chapter in Tiana’s story as she continues to grow her restaurant business, Tiana’s Foods which is an employee-owned cooperative that combines her love of cooking and the local community.
In the queue we will see how Tiana, with the help of her mother Eudora, Naveen, Louis and fellow owners of the cooperative, bought and revived the old salt mine and surrounding area for the restaurant, area for growing produce and a teaching kitchen. It shows how Tiana has created this amazing enterprise and showcases her original hot sauce.
The story of the attraction pivots on Tiana wanting to give thanks to her family, friends and members of the community for their help with making her dream come true. Tiana is therefore throwing a huge party during Mardi Gras and we are invited to Tiana’s Foods to help create the missing ingredient for the party.
The party will then be set in the Bayou with all of Tiana’s new and familiar friends from the film. We get to see Tiana’s Foods which is a place where community can meet, children can learn cooking and gardening and women are inspired to follow in Tiana’s footsteps to create and run successful businesses of their own.
