Over the last few weeks crowds at Walt Disney World have steadily been on the rise, with attractions at all four theme parks sporting long wait times as guests flood the parks taking advantage of all of the holiday season celebrations. And in response, it looks like more dining options are being added to the lineup at the resort in the coming days as Disney deals with these higher guest levels heading into the busy holiday season.
Harambe Marketplace: Beginning November 14 2020, this popular outdoor quick service eatery at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will operate from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekends and other select busy days. As with other quick serve locations, ordering will be via Mobile Order on My Disney Experience and there will likely be a limited menu available at first.
Woody’s Lunch Box: As one of the few remaining closed dining locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (by far the busiest park at Walt Disney World right now) we figured it would only be a matter of time before outdoor quick service restaurant Woody’s Lunch Box at Toy Story Land would reopen, and now it looks like preparations are now underway to do just that. Social distancing markers are now being installed in this dining location’s seating area, and a new menu board is being installed right now, in anticipation of a reopening hopefully taking place in just a few days. Disney has not confirmed a reopening date just yet, but we’d expect an official reopening confirmation in the very near future.
In addition to these reopeninings, several dining locations at EPCOT have been expanded to everyday operations instead of just weekend opening, including Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK Pavilion, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion as well as Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion. As we get closer to the holiday season, if crowd levels continue to rise we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney opens additional restaurants to ensure that all guests are able to grab a bite to eat while remaining socially distanced at tables and outdoor seating areas during their visit to the theme parks.
