One of the big changes Walt Disney World made last year for its reopening was the suspension of in-person character meet and greets. And though this type of character interaction probably won’t be returning for several more months as social distancing policies are still in place, Disney has started bringing out more characters as part of their periodic character cavalcades in the parks.
This week, Disney reintroduced Mulan and Moana as part of the rotating character lineup for meet-and-greets and cavalcades at the Magic Kingdom. In addition, Hundred Acre Friends Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit are all greeting guests as part of a Main Street Trolley character cavalcade as well.
And thanks to new mask policies, guests who want to take a (socially distanced) photo with these characters in the background will be able to do it without a mask. You can read more about the specifics of this new policy here.
These new character additions at Walt Disney World comes at a time where the parks are the busiest they have been since reopening, with many parks having no availability for reservations not only for the remainder of April, but May as well! You can see current parks pass availability here.
