There can’t be many people on planet Earth who would stare back at you blankly if you said “Mickey Mouse” to them. Well, the traditional Mickey Mouse is getting a digital make over with a collaboration with FaZe Clan.
FaZe Clan have been collaborating with Disney to create a brand new digital look for the iconic mascot, Mickey Mouse which will be used for a merchandise line named ‘Mickey On The Grid’.
Included in this new merchandise line will be a whole range of offerings including t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats which will all bear the new ‘Mickey On The Grid’ logo. The first items as part of the FaZe Clan and Disney’s first capsule collection will be available in The Armory which is the FaZe Clan’s gaming lounge and retail pop-up store from May 28. The line will then be released online from May 30 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST / 7 PM UTC.
FaZe Clan Creative Director Jay ‘JVY’ Richardson said, “Myself and the product team at FaZe are honored Disney trusted us to take a creative and modern approach to such an iconic character like Mickey Mouse, and we are excited to continue developing innovative concepts that will bring Disney’s beloved characters to life through shoppable product.”
The collaboration between Disney and FaZe Clan is set to last throughout 2022 and there are rumors that other Disney characters may also get the digital treatment in the future. We expect the new collection to be extremely popular and are looking forward to seeing the full range of merchandise available for Disney fans to purchase.
