Disney has announced that Avengers Campus will open June 4, 2021 at Disneyland Resort, inside Disney California Adventure Park, a little over a month after the theme parks reopen on April 30, 2021. This new area will feature several different areas for guest to explore, including one themed to the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB), which ties in with the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, which will feature Tom Holland reprising his role from the films.
The second area will be more character focused, and allow guests to see some of their favorite heroes, such as Captain America, Black Panther or Black Widow, assemble to survey the land. Guests can also see Spider-Man defy gravity in this area as well as he flips 60 to 65 feet in the air above the rooftop of the WEB building; to Black Panther’s loyal bodyguards, Dora Milaje, who impart their wisdom to recruits and share a sense of what it’s like to be a member of this elite royal guard. Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje, also debuts for the first time in a Disney park as she leads this training encounter.
Guests can also explore the overgrown ruins of an Ancient Sanctum and learn mysterious secrets from Doctor Strange, who will train recruits in the ways of the mystic arts by bringing this Ancient Sanctum to life with powerful spells (and at night, the Ancient Sanctum glows even more vividly with majestic colors and lights pulsating with mystic energy) and grab a bite to eat in the nearby Pym Test Kitchen and Pym Tasting Lab.
Reservations for Disney California Resort will still be required for the opening of this new land, and guests must purchase tickets in advance to make reservations. For more on the new ticketing system being used at Disney California Adventure, click here.
