October 16, 2020 saw the Grand Opening of the Mario Cafe & Store in Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan. A press ceremony day was held on October 15 which included an exciting special appearance by Mario and Luigi with red and green confetti filling the air as guests took their first steps into the new Mario Cafe & Store.
Unsurprisingly, the new Cafe is highly themed and offers exclusively themed food and drinks, including Mario’s Pancake Sandwich and fruit cream sodas and the Store hosts an abundance of merchandise which will wow fans of all ages.
The floor of the Mario Cafe has the iconic checkered pattern of the renown Mario Kart racing flags and when looking up you can see the bright sky which truly immerses you in the world of Super Mario.
Universal Studios Japan recently announced that Super Nintendo World will officially open in Spring 2021. This Grand Opening of Mario Cafe & Store gives us just a little teaser of what is to come of one of the most highly anticipated lands in theme park history.
