Following a surge in cases in Florida, Walt Disney World has announced that they will be reinstating parts of their mandatory mask policy beginning this Friday.
As part of this updated policy, masks must now be worn by guests and Cast Members indoors regardless of vaccination status beginning July 30. This aligns with the recommendations from Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This new mandate applies to shops, restaurants, throughout all attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, including shuttles, buses, monorails and at Disney Skyliner.
Right now nothing has been confirmed yet for Universal Orlando Resort or SeaWorld Orlando, but we’d assume that these other central Florida theme parks will follow Disney’s lead soon.
