Walt Disney World has updated its fall park hours and while Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be sticking with their 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM operating schedules for the foreseeable future, both the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will be changing their hours in November, likely to make room for holiday entertainment and events at these parks.
First up is the Magic Kingdom which will be extending its operating times by one hour starting November 6, going from a 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM schedule to a 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule. This change will hopefully give guests ample opportunities to enjoy the new projection effects on Cinderella Castle this holiday season which have been added in lieu of the usual holiday DreamLights.
Over at EPCOT, park hours will be getting an interesting shift, and will be changing from an 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule to a 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM schedule on November 27, 2020. Though no reason was given for the hours change, we’d guess that the park is trying to continue its reduce 8-hour operating schedule while giving locals a chance to visit this park after work during the holiday season to enjoy the start of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which begins on the same day as this schedule change.
We expect many more schedule changes to come in the weeks ahead as Disney adapts to changing crowd conditions, but right now it looks like the resort is trying to keep costs as low as possible with as few operating hours as possible in anticipation of a predicted slow holiday season ahead.
