Jungle Cruise Reimagining Confirmed to Be Coming Later This Year

It looks like a closure for the Jungle Cruise may be imminent at the Magic Kingdom, as Disney has confirmed that the reimagined Jungle Cruise will be debuting later in 2021. This newly imagined ride will feature new characters and story element, but with plenty of the silly humor that has made it a fan favorite over the years.

In addition to the news about the Magic Kingdom version of this attraction, it was also confirmed that the west coast version of this attraction will be debuting later this year as well at Disneyland, which likely means that when the theme park reopens later this month, this attraction will likely stay closed so that work can happen behind the scenes to get this attraction ready for its reopening later this year.

Disney has also released new information about the updated story and characters in the My Disney Experience app, where guests can check out concept art for the reimagined attraction and explore connections to the broader Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) which has been featured in several Disney Parks attractions across the globe.

Though Disney has not officially announced when the current version of Jungle Cruise will close for refurbishment, we’d guess an announcement will be coming very soon if they are looking to debut the new version before the end of the year. You can learn more about this updated attraction here
