The much anticipated Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure took its first full test run on May 21 which marks a very important milestone for the triple record breaking coaster.
The Jersey Devil coaster which was originally slated to open in 2020 and then postponed due to COVID-19 closures, is now planned to debut in 2021. The Jersey Devil Coaster will hold three records when it opens as it will be the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest single-rail coaster.
The coaster will take guests on a thrilling ride, beginning with a 130 foot lift hill that leads straight into a 87-degree first drop and overbank cutback. It then twists and turns through three inversions over 3,000 feet of track through the dark woods reaching speeds of up to 58mph.
In order to successfully test this coaster, “Water people” were used to simulate human weight in the roller coaster trains. as The Jersey Devil Coaster went on its first full test of the track. An official POV of The Jersey Devil Coaster’s first full test run of the track is embedded below:
