Iconic Attraction at Six Flags Great Adventure Now Closed Until Summer 2024 For Extended Refurbishment

It has been a turbulent year for Six Flags Great Adventure with unexpected down time for the headlining Kingda Ka, the return of the classic El Toro and an exciting new roller coaster recently announced for 2024 along with a new Resort and Spa.

Six Flags Great Adventure is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year and with it will come the new roller coaster, THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity, the New First-Of-Its-Kind In North America Super Boomerang Coaster as well as the new Savannah Sunset Resort & Spa.

It has just been announced on the official website that Six Flags Great Adventure has made the decision to close its Saw Mill Log Flume for an extended period. This closure is in order for this attraction to receive a make over ready for the 50th anniversary celebrations.

A large reimagining is not expected, we assume the ride system will be checked and any necessary maintenance will be completed as well as the whole attraction being spruced up. The Saw Mill Log Flume is located in Frontier Adventures at Six Flags Great Adventure, it is a standard log flume attraction where you can expect to get soaked, in which riders float around a watery circuit before plummeting down a drop into a splash zone below.

An exact date has not been given for when The Log Flume will reopen. We do know, however, that it will be in summer 2024. We will keep you informed of any changes and the reopening date as soon as it is announced.
