It has been a very long road since March 2020 when Walt Disney World Resort closed its gates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When Walt Disney World Resort reopened in July 2020 only a few of its resort hotels opened their doors.
Since then we have slowly seen the phased return of each Walt Disney World hotel and the last resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, located in the Disney’s Animal Kingdom area, reopened yesterday meaning that every resort is now back open for guests to stay in at Walt Disney World for the first time since March 2020.
The phased reopening of the Walt Disney World resort hotels has seen the returning of 70,000 cast members to every role imaginable including housekeeping, food and beverage as well as merchandise.
To celebrate this momentous day, Disney has released a video showing Cast Members celebrating the reopening of all Walt Disney World resorts. This video is embedded below.
