Last week the opening date for the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was finally announced. We now know that the official opening date is Friday May 27, 2022.
We also learnt that Disney would be holding advance previews for Cast Members, Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members in the coming weeks with emails set to go out to these groups with details of how to sign up.
Disney also announced that on May 15, they would be holding a special preview event for D23 Gold Members. Tickets would cost $40 per person and could be obtained online on April 12. Well, we have news that the virtual ticket queue was closed after just minutes as all tickets were all sold out.
This certainly wasn’t unexpected as hype and excitement for the opening of the new upcoming roller coaster at EPCOT has reached boiling point in recent weeks. With Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opening at the end of May we are sure to see the crowds at Walt Disney World continue as we head into the summer months.
