Genie+ Lightning Lane Individual Attraction Pricing Announced, Launching October 19

Disney has announced that its Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services will launch October 19 at Walt Disney World. This service will grant faster access to over 40 attractions via “Lightning Lanes” for $15 per guest, per day.

Guests who use this service will be able to select the *next available* Lightning Lane return time for each attraction, and will not be able to schedule specific times in advance as they did with the previous FastPass+ system. Guests using this system will also need to redeem their active Lightning Lane reservation before you can booking another or wait 120 minutes from time of booking. The Genie+ system will alert guests when they are able to use another skip-the-line entitlement.

In addition to the $15 all-day service, guests can purchase Genie+ Lightning Lane access for individual popular attractions as well, but will be limited to purchasing two of these skip-the-line passes per day, which we now know will range between $7 and $15 at launch. Here is the full list of attractions guests can purchase individual skip-the-line passes for:

Unlike the $15 Genie+ system, Individual Lightning Lane purchases will allow guests to schedule their rides in advance, choosing from a list of available times throughout the day. Because these are scheduled, guests can purchase their two allotted passes right at 7:00 AM and schedule the rest of their day around their selections.

Guests will only be able to use Lightning Lane once per attraction per day and can purchase a maximum of two Individual Lightning Lane attractions per day (independent of Genie+ service). Right now it looks like Annual Passholders will be able to buy Genie+ service or individual attraction skip-the-line passes from inside the My Disney Experience app for regular price, with no discounts available.

No details about when this service will launch at Disneyland have been announced yet.
