Since the introduction of Genie+ back in October 2021, Disney has made necessary changes to this new paid for FastPass system including adjusting the attrations that are available to guests purchasing Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections.
As of yesterday (March 9) the popular Festival of Fantasy Parade returned to Disney’s Magic Kingdom for the first time since 2020. It has now appeared on the official website that as of tomorrow (March 11) the Festival of Fantasy Parade will be added to the Disney Genie+ Lighning Lane Selections.
Disney recently added three other popular attractions to Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections to help alleviate crowds in the park through Spring and early Summer. These attractions will return to the Individual Lightning Lane Selections on August 7, 2022. They include:
- Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom Park)
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
- Frozen Ever After (EPCOT)
We are also expecting to see Expedition Everest (Disney’s Animal Kingdom) to appear in Genie+ Lightning Lane Selection rather than Individual Lightning Lane when it returns after its refurbishment which is currently set at April 30, 2022.
We assume the Festival of Fantasy Parade is a permanent addition to Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections now it has returned to Disney’s Magic Kingdom. We will keep you updated on further changes to Genie+ on our news and Facebook page.
