Though Disney has been quietly removing certain scenes from the Jungle Cruise in the past few weeks in preparation for this attraction’s updated story and look, earlier today they debuted the first new scene for this attraction giving guests riding this morning a first look at the new characters.
Of course, this new addition is one of many for the Magic Kingdom version of this attraction, which will continue adding scenes and making changes in the months ahead as it works towards a refurbishment completion date later this summer. The attraction is not expected to close at all while these changes are made. You can check out an image of the newly-added “up the pole” scene below:
Over on the west coast, it has been announced that Disney’s reimagined Jungle Cruise attraction will debut in just a few weeks on July 16, 2021 at Disneyland Resort, where the attraction has been closed since reopening while work continues behind the scenes on updating this ride.
As was announced earlier this year the Jungle Cruise’s “new adventure” will stay true to the experience that guests know and love, but with more humor, wildlife and “skipper heart”. You can read more about what to expect from this updated version of the Jungle Cruise here.
