When Universal Orlando Resort reopened back in June after closures due to COVID-19, a few rides quite quickly closed back down again at the beginning of August due to limited capacity of which Fast and Furious Supercharged was one of these rides.
There has been news on social media this week that Fast and Furious Supercharged has now reopened. This is likely due to the need for additional capacity as attendance increases over the holiday period. Screamscape reports that Fast and Furious Supercharged is likely to continue to operate in the new year as Revenge of the Mummy is due for a rehab.
I suppose it can be assumed that if crowd levels fall during 2021 that Fast and Furious Supercharged may close back down again. According to social media, lines have been long showing that this is a welcome reopening for the park.
Fast and Furious Supercharged opened in 2018 and sees guests going on an exhilarating street chase with Dom, Letty, Hobbs and Roman in the high-octane world of the Fast & Furious blockbuster films. The ride has seen mixed reviews since it opened.
