E.T Adventure Gets New Interplanetary Passports at Universal Studios Florida

There has been an ongoing saga over the last few years as to whether the classic E.T Adventure at Universal Studios Florida should remain or be replaced. Universal fans seem to have clear views on their preference with few people sitting on the fence.

There has also been a question mark hanging over whether Steven Speilberg actually has any control over whether this attraction stays or goes which we addressed in our featured article, Universal Vs Spielberg: Debunking The Rumored E.T Adventure Clause of Steven Spielberg’s Creative Consultant Contract.

Universal Parks News Today published an article at the end of February showing that the E.T Adventure now boasts new Interplanetary Passports which are being given out to guests. The old passports have now been retired.

The process is the same as it has always been, you give your name and are handed a card before entering the queue then before boarding you give your card to the Team Member who scans it and then your name is read out at the end of the ride.

The old passport was portrait and featured the moon as well as the iconic image of Elliot and ET on the bike. The new design is landscape and features a larger image of ET with the iconic image behind. On the back of the new card it reads, “Trying to phone home?” rather than the original “Phoning Home?” message.

With the addition of these new Interplanetary Passports, it seems unlikely that Universal has any plans to close this classic opening day attraction anytime soon.
