For the first time since it opened in 2003, Disney’s PhillharMagic is getting a brand new scene inspired by a recent movie. Disney has announced that Pixar favorite Coco will be added to this attraction, with guests able to see Donald and the cast of the film during a scene featuring an all new score from film composer Germaine Franco as well as characters singing along to “Un Poco Loco” from the movie.
This new scene will debut first at Disney California Adventure park and Disneyland Paris on July 17, before being added to Magic Kingdom this fall as part of the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration.
Interestingly, this project is especially noteworthy as it marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have collaborated on something where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen.
Though this is the first time in this attraction’s nearly 20 year history that a new scene has been added, it paves the way for more updates in the future. What would you like to see added to PhillharMagic if further updates are announced?
