Last week it was confirmed that guest rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort were being completely reimagined with decor, textiles and art inspired by Pixar’s Incredibles superhero franchise. And now we are learning more about some of the changes happening elsewhere at this resort.
Beginning next week on July 16, 2021 the Contemporary Resort’s world-famous lobby will be closing so that it can be totally redesigned. The new lobby will feature a collection of modern art pieces as well as historical, behind-the-scenes photographs of Disney’s Contemporary Resort in development and under construction. The lobby will also feature an enhanced check-in experience offering an open, free-flowing layout with enhanced seating locations.
While the first floor elevators, escalators, restrooms and pathways to transportation will remain open during this closure the front desk will temporarily relocate to the second floor of the resort.
This new design for the lobby is expected to be complete in late September, along with much of the rest of this hotel’s current refurbishment. Are you excited for all of these changes coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort?
