There is no doubting the fact that the state of California has been hard hit with the affects of COVID-19. Disneyland Resort hasn’t been able to reopen its gates since it closed back in March 2020.
Andrew Do, acting Board of Supervisors Chairman announced in a news release that Disneyland Resort’s Toy Story Parking structure is to become the first COVID-19 Super Point-of-Dispensing site (POD) for vaccinations. It is expected to open later this week for those people on the priority list for Orange County, frontline healthcare workers and those aged 75 or over. Vaccinations will be given by appointment only.
Andrew Do states “The Disneyland Resort, the largest employer in the heart of Orange County, has stepped up to host the county’s first Super POD site – undertaking a monumental task in our vaccination distribution process.”
Gavin Newsom, California Governor announced via twitter yesterday that mass vaccination centers will be opening across California including Dodgers Stadium, Padres Stadium and CalExpo.
NEW: CA will be opening mass vaccination sites this week including Dodgers Stadium, Padres Stadium, and CalExpo.
Our goal continues to be fast, equitable, and safe vaccinations statewide.

The aim for these Super PODs are to be able to vaccinate thousands of people each day. This is very positive news in the fight against COVID-19. Let us know what you think about this announcement by leaving a comment below or on our Facebook Page.
