After French authorities announced the country was going back in to lockdown earlier this week, we knew that a Disneyland Paris closure was coming, but now it is official: Disneyland Paris will be shutting down at the end of the park day today. Right now according to the French government, the lockdown is currently planned to last for one month, but will be reevaluated every two weeks by government officials.
Though there are no firm reopening dates for the country yet, in anticipation of celebrating the Christmas holiday season the resort has said that they are hoping to reopen in a few weeks and will be taking reservations from December 19 – January 3 and hope to be open based on prevailing conditions and government guidance at that time.
After the holiday season, Disneyland Paris is once again planning to close back down from from January 4 through February 12. Guests who have reservations during these periods can go here for more information about refunds, changing dates, etc.
Of course this is the second closure for Disneyland Paris, as the park was shuttered for more than three months due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and then reopened over the summer after it began implementing new safety guidelines similar to those we’ve seen at Walt Disney World.
